homemade rootbeer.

Homemade rootbeer.

5 lbs sugar
1 1/2 bottle root beer extract
5 gallons water.
Mix all together then add 8 lbs dry ice.  ( DO NOT HANDLE DRY ICE WITH YOUR BARE HANDS.  iT WILL BURN YOU)Let bubble for 20 minutes.

( we used to have homemade rootbeer at our family reunions, It is so yummy. We made it in a big 10 gallon or larger container.

Another recipe for homemade rootbeer.

Homemade rootbeer.

2 bottles of rootbeer extract.
10 lbs sugar
8 gallons water
10  lbs dry ice.
Put water in a 10 gallon container. Add extract and sugar. Stir well to disolve sugar. Add dry ice ( make sure to wear gloves when getting the dry ice in the container, it can burn your skin) make sure you do not cover the spout. Do not  put lid on top. leave it to the side. let boil 30 minutes Enjoy.
